April showers ...

A sewing project with the fabric pieces that I dyed few months ago.

I love patterns that I am able to create with running stitch.

Also tried weaving couple fruits. I do like the way they turned out. I have several of these small weaved pieces now. I thinking of putting them together in a fabric book. I don't know if I 'd be able to make it they way I imagine.  Will try :)

Beginning

 2022 !

A week has already come to end of the new year.

A brightly coloured scarf to chase the winter blues away ! I used several old scarves, that were not used for a quite a long time make this long colourful one. I cut them into squares (not exact measurements) and pieced  them together, and using the running stitch added more texture. Also crocheted an edging.

I have already worn it few times.

Wish you a wonderful day !

Thank you for visiting my blog,

Till next time,

Almost end of the year ...

Recently, I did some natural dyeing. I used pomegranate skins, blueberry, avocado skins and spinach and celery.

Fabric pieces are all cotton, and has a small woven design on it. I am not sure yet, what I want to make out them. I am pleased with the colours.

Happy Holidays !!!

Best wishes for 2022!

Bit of August..

August went by, I did couple of projects. Both had lots and lots of stitches :)

This portrait inspired by painting of  artist Amedeo Modigliani. I love his style of painting. This my attempt to create the same in a different medium. this measures approx. 8x12. It turned out better than I thought it would be. I have sketched few more to try.
