Toadstool ..

pincushion....

I found the dainty ceramic container among thimbles at my neighbourhood church's fall jumble sale, few weeks ago.  At first, I thought it was a thimble but looking at it closely, it does not appear to have the shape of a thimble, also it is heavy. It is about 3cm tall, has a lovely design of bunnies, butterflies and bees. While, I do not know what it is used for ......

..I made another pincushion.

Autumn coloured crocheted scarf....

I found the pattern on this crochet designer's blog.  http://shropshirescrappersuz.blogspot.com/2017/09/circle-of-life-skinny-scarf.html
There are number of other free patterns to you like to check it out.

I used  lots of odds and ends from many types of yarn and, tried best to match the colours.

hat was for a friend of mine, she liked it a lot.

Day one ..of ..January...

Watering can pincushion...

A small craft project done during the holidays;
What you think of this watering can make-over? I got the tin can for 0.99 cents from the thrift store.
I filled it almost to the top with rice first, so it will be sturdy and, then added polyfil stuffed body.

It is sitting next to the wheelbarrow, I made few months ago.  May be I will find other garden tools to make a whole collection :)

Thank you for stopping over ...hope you are having a wonderful day,

everything stops for a sweet cup of tea !!

Wheelbarrow

 pincushion...

On my last post I showed you a little wheelbarrow (ornament) I picked up at a church yard sale. When I saw it, immediately I thought of a pincushion.  This weekend, I came up with this idea.

I used my hand dyed material for the stuffing. (to resemble a of ball of soil). Then made flowers out of felt and, added craft wire for the stems wrapped up in thinly cut felt. I tried my best to make the flowers small as possible in proportion with the wheelbarrow.

to summer gardening ...
What do you think of my summer wheelbarrow?

few more Rosettes....

Wooden spoon ..

pincushion..

This chipped wooden spoon has been in my  kitchen cupboard for awhile,

few times I thought of throwing it way but I did not. While browsing through Pinterest recently it gave me an idea ( actually many ideas). So here it is turned into this pincushion.

I used my naturally dyed fabric to make the egg shaped case and, used stuffing and rice to fill it. for the embellishments; jute ribbon, few crochet flowers and old lace.

I spent most of the saturday morning doing this project so I could take few pictures before sun went away. (still could not get better ones) I am quite pleased with my effort.

A new crochet flower for my winter coat.

 Icicles and snow this week...brrrrrrrrrrr

Thank you for stopping by,

hope you are having a great day,

Paisley..

pincushion...

I used a piece of raw silk and some lace trimmings that I got from yard sales.  The small problem I encountered was that, since the top part is rather narrow it would not rest properly on the surface. After trying few adjustments, I gave it a bead leg and now it is perfect.

Before I made this, I only had one pincushion, which was overflowing with pins.

Saree quilt is coming along, I really should be spending more time on this one.

I wanted to take break from crocheting to spend more time on  other projects  but I haven't been able to do.

Last week, I was at my neighbourhood library and while browsing craft section, came across couple lovely crochet books.

Both books have numerous fancy patterns. I want to try a few patterns and write them down for future use.

I quite like the rose, can you spot the one I made? :)......

Thank you for stopping by for a peek,
