Spring/Summer Handkerchief quilt
I recently finished this handkerchief quilt. It has both old and new hankies. I did sew everything by hand including piecing them together. It does look alright isn't it?
“In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest where no-one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.” ~ Rumi

I have not posted any of creative pieces for a quite long time. My camera battery stopped working and I was not able to fix the problem. I kept postponing getting it fixed(specially with all Covid restrictions) and finally managed to get it work( i think)
I have been keeping busy with bit of creative work.
Gustav Klimt inspired
I was able to finish my latest Modigliani inspired portrait. Other than that, I have not done much creative work.
Hoping that 2021 brings much needed relief from covid-19.
Wishing everyone a safe and a healthy new year!!

This portrait inspired by painting of artist Amedeo Modigliani. I love his style of painting. This my attempt to create the same in a different medium. this measures approx. 8x12. It turned out better than I thought it would be. I have sketched few more to try.
I finally finished the winter project. I am going to use this for my office chair :) Till next time, Gaia x0x
