Tote bags

I had some left over material from the one of the wall hangings I did, and I used it to make this small tote bag. I did the same kind of applique as before.

It was not easy to sew to the handles by machine as the material is very thick when folded into two,  I had to hand stitched those. ..ouch! ouuch ! and the rest of the sides are done in machine.

For this bag too I used left over material.  The little shell like circles are cut from an old tee shirt and sewed using the blanket stitch.

The purple one is a friend who is celebrating her birthday at the end of the month.

Thanks for stopping by,

Until next time,

  1. Hi Gaia, I love your tote bags! I really enjoy making tote bags as gifts or for family members (in fact I posted recently about the tote I made for my daughter)however I never ever make one for myself :)
