Bits of everything ......

Most of  the left over yarn made into my left handers-leftover blanket.

This stitch I used is Moss Stitch. I also added an edging.

Learning embroidery.........
On this piece so far I have learnt; Petal Stitch, Encroaching satin stitch (which did not turn out as to my liking yet) Threaded back stitch

On Crochet ; Recently I bought this  Americana Afghans magazine, published in 1974 from the Salvation Army thrift store. It has both crochet and knitting projects which look wonderful.

This octagonal motif pattern looked rather pretty and I want to give it a try. This is only the first try, and there few errors needs be corrected

Thank you for stopping by to see my crafting,

till next time,

  2. I love your crocheted blanket! I've only ever made some baby sized ones but have always meant to get to work on an adult sized one. It is so cool that you used thrift store yarn on it.

Oh and you Autumn quilt will surely be dreamy! I found a small handmade cotton quilt at "our" thrift store last year that I have been loving so much this summer. So soft and comfortable.

    You're a inspiration, my friend!

  4. You're a gal of many talents Gaia and I wonder if you're self teaching yourself embroidery from the book? I learn better when someone shows me and I've been thinking about taking up crocheting again - it has be years since I had a hook in my hand. :-)
