While I was visiting my mother I had time to complete another small cross stitch kit. I was not quite sure what I wanted to do with it; finally made another case for pins and needles.
I really do not need another one. Maybe I can give it away at some point or take part in a swap if I can get a chance. For, now I will keep with done things.
I, also want to show some of my old cross stitch work;done about 15 or more years ago.
These are some of the practice pieces, now I can see that I did the Y incorrectly on 'may sunshine fill your day'.
some old books including DMC cross stitch book 1962 belonged to an aunt of mine.
Thank you for taking your time today to stop by,
til next time,
xxx,
Gaia
nice needle case, I use one Catherine made when she was about 7, she is 41 now. You have done some nice crossstitch, it is one technique I did not enjoy, it made me cross eyed and cross so only tried it once, mind you that was on a 32 count linen, the design praying hands, it ended in the bin half done
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute needle case :) I could never get into cross-stitch, although I like the look of it. I had a few books with really great patterns, but ended up giving them all to my sister (who enjoys doing it). I almost finished one little Christmas decoration. The cross-stitch pictures for your room are very sweet. Wendy x
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done cardinal needle case. I have too many as well but they are lovely to have :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice and cute cross-stitch samples. Mother visiting is so necessary and it is good to craft something while you are with her, I once took my violin to entertain her. This is quite some time ago.
ReplyDeletethose books are priceless isn't it?love your work Gaia! glad for your visit!
